I would certainly rate First Cut is the Deepest and My Favorite Mistake high on the list. Personally I like songs that you can listen to over and over that are somewhat intriguing like Run Baby Run but are more thought provoking than heavy message. I think the Detours album has a lot of Good songs. The whole political environment as well as the breakup kind of skew the results for songs such as Gasoline and Out of our Heads.

Because CD is entitled THE BEST OF Sheryl Crow and not Sheryl Crow - GREATEST HITS.

All I Wanna Do is an ok song, but it's not one of her best, and very far from being in her top 15 (imo.).

How can you not include All I Wanna Do? Its not my fave Shezza song, but surely has to be included on any compilation. I could pick and choose any 15 depending on my mood, but I think any compilation would have to include thus song, and If It Makes You Happy.

I guess Alphaghetti Betty is looking for your attention. I think she needs a cyber smack in the back of the head. lmao

I would go with 'best of' cause then you can put whatever you want on the CD, Greatest Hits limits you to certain songs.

Nighthawk I could mention some more of Detours as I absolutely love some of them. I listened to it for a while but I am backtracking through all of her albums so I only listed one. I do tend to like the self produced ones because they are more emotional. I'm not as much into the pop stuff but I do like them and I do love to hear her sing them live. There are so many great songs I hate to leave any out. Those are just songs off the top of my head that I've listened to lately.

Only JR lists "I Shall Believe"...the woman used to sing it as a last song at almost every concert, but guess the question isn't what her favorites would be...it would be on my list of the best.

Not much love for Detours round here? Could it be only her self-produced stuff is the real thing?

Gasp ... how can I even cut it down to 15 songs? Well, this CD would play nicely, and covers a range of the essentials both in terms of hits and none-hits. Of course, there are so many others I would put on also, but this CD should flow nicely in terms of sequencing also.
