Since the Central Park album has been brought up, my favorite song on there is "The Difficult Kind" with Sarah McLachlan. There's something about the way Sheryl's and Sarah's voices harmonize on that song, that reminds me of the way Mick and Keith harmonize. Sarah did a great job on that second verse also.
Also getting back to Stevie, the inter-play between her and Sheryl, when they performed "Sorcerer" on Jay Leno, was very injoyable both visually and musically.

I like the lyrics to "Always On Your Side" more than to "Picture", but I can't stand Sting, so "Picture" wins....

But, my favorite is "Gold Dust Woman" with Stevie off the Central Park album. I fell in love with that song the minute I heard it and now I'm a huge Stevie fan.

Any duet by Sheryl and those mentioned is first rate songstuff. Since Sheryl writes from her own experiences, and what she faces "at the moment", I try to figure who is she really singing to, by who she is singing with. You can peer deep into it all or just enjoy the "musicality" of these talents. Over the course of her work though, Sheryl tells a story, something one can read like a book. The others bring another "character" to sheryl's story as she does to theirs. In that sense they are equal. Why not "leather & Lace", W/Henley? Or,-uh-with you know who?

kid rock hands down. Being a Detroiter we really get to see the creative and talented side of him, that most do not.

I can't really decide between the two. Both songs have very different styles and so are the collaborators.

OT: But since we also talked about Stevie and Emmylou I have to say that my fav. duet she ever did was "Blue" with Zucchero (amazing vocals).
Ronnie
PS. Tyler, if you haven't heard this you must get a hold of this song.

"Picture" is more raw, earthy country rock--- "Always On Your Side" is more of an elegant AC number. As much as I loved her harmony with Sting, I'll go with the classic, "Picture".

Gotta go with "Picture." Definitely my own personal favorite duet of hers.

Nothing against Stevie, but that duet sounded typical of Stevie while "Picture" was different from what one would have expected of either Kid or Sheryl and gave me a new-found appreciation for his talent.

If it's a choice between Kid & Sting, I'd go with Kid. If it's a selection of favorite Sheryl duet, I'd pick anything she's done with Emmylou Harris - "Juanita", "Pale Blue Eyes", "Angel Band", "on the sea of Galilee", etc.

Yeah, Stevie, on Stevie's album. The song with Kid Rock rang phoney big time, and the song she did with Sting wasn't a duet song.

Of course, the B side "You're Not the One" with Stevie on the last album was a pretty good song.

There's a choice for you, I can't stand either one. Sorry Tyler, nothing personal.
Can I substitute Stevie Nicks? That's her best duet I can think of, right off hand.
