The Globe Sessions--10th Anniversary

Hard to believe that TGS is fast approaching it's 10th year in release come this September! Time flies!

As I recall, that album was of great concern to Sheryl whether it was good enough---yes Sheryl, it was good enough alright!!

I love every damn one of her albums! BUT this one holds something special to me. Everytime I give it a listen, it conjurs up alot of nostalgic feelings.

The Globe sessions is without doubt Sheryl's best work, and in my opinion, a future classic album.
I can still remember the day I bought it and listening to The Difficult Kind thinking I had never heard a better song before.
Sadly my original copy now skips over the last tracks, its been played too much!

Alan, your topic selections don't suck. The Globe Sessions is my favorite. I agree with Johnny,a concert or two of TGS from beginning to end would be awesome, Sort of like The Who(Tommy),Pink Floyd(the Wall and Animals) and Bruce(Born to Run,Darkness on the Edge of Town). The Difficult Kind will be difficult to replace as my all time Sheryl favorite.

I have several versions of The Globe Sessions. Besides the regular CD I have it on Super-audio, DVD Audio, and DTS-CD, all with 5.1 sound, just to name a few.

It could have been a double album if you think about the quality of her b-sides in the 90's, so many great songs and what a sound. She should record/produce herself again, regardless the material, it just SOUNDS so much better.

Neigborhood, Riverwide, It Don't Hurt, Mistake, Getting Through, Difficult Kind....JESUS! I wish there was only ONE song as good as these on "Detours". TGS is a must have!

Globe is my favorite of her albums

I had posted a few months back that it would be tres cool if she did a show to commemorate the 10th anniv and played the whole album from beginning to end

It's my favourite record of Sheryl's too. I always thought it was recorded in New Orleans or somewhere, it just has that vibe. When I found out it was recorded in New York I was really shocked....
