Hi Tim! Wow I never knew that and this is what I found out about it. It is a beautiful song. Yup that's how you feel here on Long Island sometimes..

McCartney said of this song: “I started off just remembering summers. ‘Were we really there?’ ‘Was it real?’ Sometimes for a lot of people your memories, particularly childhood memories, seem so golden and you think, ‘Did it really never rain all summer or am I just imagining the sunny bits?’ And then the phrase, ‘You tell me,’ began to be the theme of the song. I wrote it out in Long Island, during one of those summers. I was just looking at a red cardinal. For someone English it’s magical, seeing a bright red bird coming out of a tree, so he appeared in the lyric. A lot of it was actually just there as I was writing. I wanted to see Sheryl on the motorbike - I think it was the Steve McQueen film clip - it was on your Utube menu and then it said deleated so I couldn't veiw it! I still like the picture - anyway of blowing it up without mega pixilation - oh I mean pixelated? I'm so bord I'm watching The Simpsons. I want some cookies! Subway cookies... I think I've got brain strain from reading all these BS text books about network protocols, domains and subnet masks, I locked myself inside all day - it was cold... Kyara first you have to upload the photo into your profile. Then you have to go back and click on the actual picture and on the left hand side you will see share. Click on that and chose embedded. Then copy that and paste it into your comment. The only thing is it comes out small. Glad you like the thread. and thanks for your input on it!

The first time I heard that song was at an ILAA sound check in London. Sheryl comes walking out in jeans and a sweater poncho eating a handful of potato chips. She greets us, (crunching near the mic) says something to the band, puts the last chip in her mouth then just turns to the mic and goes at it!!! She even did some bond girl moves. Very cool! I've loved the song ever since.
